Since graduating from rabbinical college in 2007, I’ve devoted my life to the integration of spirituality, creativity, and embodied healing.

For 20+ years, I’ve worked as a teacher of Jewish mysticism, writer, musician, animator, and filmmaker—bringing depth and creativity to communities in Pittsburgh, PA, and now Miami, FL, where I live with my family.

Putting my music and film-making career on hold to work as an essential worker at Trader Joe’s during the COVID-pandemic, I found myself speaking to hundreds of concerned citizens a week. It was through their encouragement that I began my path as a somatic practitioner, and sought the education and training to complete my studies over the next several years.

As we emerged from the pandemic fog in 2022, I participated in a first-of-its-kind, online Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy certification through The Embody Lab, where I studied groundbreaking healing practices with masters in the field, including:

  • Dr. Richard Schwartz (Internal Family Systems)

  • Dr. Peter Levine (Somatic Experiencing)

  • Dr. Arielle Schwartz (Polyvagal Theory)

That same year, I completed the Mind/Body & Soul Coaching certification with Rabbi Daniel Schonbuch, LCSW, a program blending somatic medicine with existential psychology, inspired by the work of Dr. Viktor Frankl and Chabad Chassidic philosophy.

I have also studied individuation and supervised active imagination with acclaimed humanist psychologist Dr. Stanton Marlan, helping me explore and decode Jung’s understandings of psyche, archetypes, and alchemy - along with his protege’s, Dr. Erich Neumann’s understandings of Kabbalah and Chassidism.

As a practitioner of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and the new Rest and Restore Protocol - I am thrilled to offer non-invasive, evidence-based nervous system regulation that is truly changing peoples’ lives.

Grateful to be part of this emerging New Wave of embodied healing.

Certificate of completion from The Embody Lab awarded to Rabbi Yisroel Broocker for completing a 60-hour Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy program, dated January 25th, 2023, with signatures from Dr. Arielle Schwartz, Nkem Ndefo, and Dr. Scott Lyons.
